Review: Seduction in Silver

SISSeduction in Silver by Natalie Anderson

3 out of 5 Licks

Nina Breslin figures the sexy man she meets on the Baker Street Tube is eons out of her league. Dr. Eduardo Ruiz needs a break from the heart-breaking reality of his job. And when he finally introduces himself to Nina, they agree to an outrageous plan. Can they play by their own rules, or will they succumb to the pull of seduction?

After agreeing that they would help each other out with their respective outings for the evening , Nina found herself surprisingly fake-engaged to Eduardo.  After successfully making each of their family and friends believe they are both happy and in love, Eduardo suddenly has to go.  He puts her in a taxi and he’s gone.  He comes back the next day and they go to his house and they have sex.  Over the years I’ve read a lot of books where the guy and the girl fall into bed almost immediately so I’ve loosened up my feelings on the characters basically being strangers and having sex.  I’m usually ok with it by the end because they have such an amazing connection and ultimately fall hopelessly in love and live happily ever after.  This time I just didn’t feel it between Nina and Eduardo.  They had passion but I didn’t feel the connection.  The ending also fell a bit flat for me.  You are probably wondering why I gave the book 3 licks if it seemed like I really didn’t like it.  I’m giving it a 3 because while I didn’t fall in love with this book, I don’t feel like I wasted my time reading it either.  So check it out and let me know what you thought about it.
