Review: Burn For Me

burn-for-me Burn For Me by Cynthia Eden

5 out of 5 Licks

Book One in the Phoenix Fire Series

Eve Bradley was undercover looking for a story, not a cause. But something about the man they called Subject Thirteen got her involved. The scientists said he was a devil, and they had a decent case: Terrifying power. A bad attitude. And looks that could lead anyone to sin. . .

Cain O’Connor knows the minute he catches her candy scent that Eve could drive him wild. But she’s a threat–in a way no one has been for him in years. She’s safer away from him, too. But with a powerful conspiracy determined to shut Eve up for good, there’s no time to argue. All they can do is trust their instincts–and their hearts. . .

*happy happy happy reader sigh* I always seem to forget just how much I love paranormal romance.  Most of my review requests lately have been for BDSM or contemporary which I also love but there is something about paranormal.  The world and the uniqueness of the characters in it open up such possibilities.  I’m a huge Harry Potter nerd so the fact that the hero is a Phoenix added a little extra something for me.  If you don’t get that reference I feel sorry for you.  Lol  I enjoy nothing more than reading about a hard core man brought to his knees by a woman.  Cain and Eve are so good together.  They balance each other so perfectly.  I wanted them to be together from the moment they met, but it certainly wasn’t easy for them.  With Wyatt trying to do everything in his power to capture them they spent a lot of time running and fighting to be free.  Burn With me is an action packed thriller that will have you racing for the finish.  Once I started it I didn’t want to put it down.  I finished it in less than one day.  I can’t wait to read the next one in this series.  And the one after that and hopefully more after that.
