Oklahoma Nights #3

One Broken Man…

Cowboy Jace Mills has suffered fewer injuries from bucking bulls than he has from his ex-girlfriend. Following his best friend Tucker’s advice, Jace is convinced it’s time to move on. But with his ex’s tight rein on him, easier said than done.

One Broken Heart…

Tara Jenkins learned a lot in her sports medicine courses, but not how to fix her broken heart. So when her brother Tucker suggests using her skills on the rodeo, it gives her the perfect opportunity to ride off into the sunset—or at least run away.

Three Weeks Together…

Only problem is, Jace and Tara have had a hate-hate relationship for over a decade, putting up with each other for Tucker’s sake. With their long history as frenemies, they know sparks will fly, they just never expect them to flare into scorching passion…

Hot damn I love me some Cat Johnson.  Cat writes some of the best cowboys around and she never disappoints.  I went into this one a little unsure.  Jace and Tara haven’t been the most lovable characters in the previous books in this series, but Cat manages the seemingly impossible and made me like them.  Not only did I like them, I even wanted them both to be happy!  lol  Tara turned out to be a lot of fun.  Yeah she acted a little immature at times but she’s young and it was pretty much harmless kidding around.  Jace with all his wisdom (lol) was trying his hardest to resist Tara, but in the end he gave in to almost everything Tara wanted-all but losing her V-card.  He wasn’t willing to be the one to do that.  Don’t worry though she manages to get him into quite a few compromising positions.  As a side note: you don’t necessarily have to read books 1 and 2 in this series before you read this one, but I seriously recommend that you do.  Cat’s cowboys are some of the best out there!
