Review: One Night With A Santini

ONWAS One Night With A Santini by Melissa Schroeder

4 out of 5 Licks

He was searching for something that was missing from his life.

Brando Santini is headed to New Orleans to blow off some steam with a few of his buddies. The respite from his life as a Marine doesn’t really seem to do the trick until he runs into his college crush, Kaitlin Fitzpatrick. After a little dancing and a few drinks, they end up in bed together and Brando knows she’s the one for him.
One night will never be enough.

Kaitlin never forgot Brando. She never would have thought the sexy nerd would have remembered her. More than that, she definitely didn’t expect he would be interested in seducing her. Their time in New Orleans is intense but much too short. The memories of his lovemaking leave her counting the days until she sees him again.

A complication neither of them expected.

By the time Brando arrives in Maryland, Kaitlin suspects that their one night together has left them with more than memories. When Brando insists on marriage, she refuses on the grounds he doesn’t love her. But what Kaitlin doesn’t understand is that when a Santini wants to prove his love, nothing will stand in his way—not her five brothers, his own annoying family, or even the woman he adores.

The Santinis are back!!  I am loving this family and it seems like they just keep growing so hopefully that will mean more and more books in this series.  I love all the classic tropes and this book includes the baby after one night trope.  There was certainly more than one time for these two before the baby happened but it was after just one night so it counts.  😉  Brando is just like the other Santini men and knew the moment he met Kaitlin years ago that he wanted her.  But back then she was taken and Brando is nothing if not a respectable man and kept it at friend level back then.  Now that she’s no longer taken he decided it was time to make her his.  It takes her a little while to come around to his way of thinking and he is a Santini so he has to make a few mistakes along the way-sometimes it takes a trip to the hospital to wake up and see the error of his way.  No epilogue at the end of this one but I am betting we get more baby news in the next book.  I am expecting Wendy’s book to be next and I’m gonna be super disappointed if it isn’t.
